Time to get out of Dodge

Before I go any further I want to express my personal gratitude to the FBI, NYPD and all the other law enforcement agencies who played a part in making sure we are indeed safe. What you do is holy work. You provide, to the best of your abilities, a shelter of peace over our neighborhoods and many do it selflessly and without expectation of reward. Thank you for what you do. G-D Bless..

On to the matter at hand.....

It was hard to fall asleep knowing that 30 lbs of c-4 was planted 500 feet from where my family sleeps. Thank G-D it was fake. These days there is a lot of hate bubbling just below the surface and last night the pot bubbled over. Three losers hop in a car, head over to a wealthy Jewish neighborhood and plan their revenge against those " Jew bastards". History proves that there will always be individuals that will channel their hate against the Jews . And as in every generation ultimately they fall short of their goal. And last night was no exception. These were angry men armed with an angry ideology and a target well know for it's timidity and sadly it's defenselessness.

That being said I do have some questions for the authorities - Why didn't the authorities take these repeat offenders off the streets once they knew they wanted to procure explosive and illegal munitions? Why didn't they bust them once they transferred the goods? Why did it take until they actually planted the goods and tried to use them? We are talking about people are ex-cons. It would not take much to put these fellows back in prison when we see they are trying to get explosives and missiles! At this point, I am not willing to accept that they were trying to build the biggest case they could against these boneheads.

And lastly - I have a question for our commander in chief - The morning after this story broke you gave a long speech on homeland security - ANY YOU DIDN"T SAY A WORD about what happened just the night before in Riverdale. A liberal, largely JEWISH neighborhood whose residents staunchly supported your campaign! And whose world was rocked by Muslim Terrorists armed with weapons (fake) provided by the FBI! This is the face of the war on terror, this is the most open and sensational story highlighting homeland security with all it's costs both monetary and political - and the president remains silent. - Take it away Michelle Malkin.

All words seem to fail

Each time I set out to write something about the tragedy in Mumbai and each time I found myself erasing what I wrote. What can I say? What difference will my 2 cents make? The fact is that it is impossible to comprehend the magnitude of the evil that was perpetrated on that city and especially the Chabad House. In a city of millions with a minuscule Jewish population the target should be a holy Chabad House is beyond belief. A beacon of comfort to so many. A place to davin (pray), have a kosher meal, enjoy Shabbat in a place far from home. The Chabad house was simply a place of good run by a sweet young family committed to Torah and the mission of Rebbe. He sends his representatives (sheluchim) to make a home based on Torah and good deeds to share with all who ask. The door of a Chabad House is never closed..... NEVER!! That is the sacred mission of all the brave and ever faithful Chabad families who selflessly and tirelessly open their homes and lives to millions of people every year. Twenty four hours a day 7 days a week! Rav Gavriel and his rebbitzen Rivka Holtzberg were a shining diamond in this crown of Torah. Only the heinous of evils could be sent to break down this tower of goodness and love. Let us not forget what they stood for, so bravely, so honorably and with the ultimate in self-sacrifice. May HaShem watch over them, and their neshamas (eternal souls) watch over us to see the good we will do in their name. In response to this horrific tragedy Chabad has remained as it ever will - committed to Torah and acts of loving kindness. They ask everyone who will listen to avenge our fallen by performing Mitzvot. Perform acts of loving kindness whenever and wherever possible, give charity, learn Torah, keep shabbat. Push back the darkness that this evil has perpetrated on us by spreading light.

Please donate what you can.
